Food Cycle Series: Composting Systems with Deb Martin

There are many reasons why people don’t want to compost at home. Some of the common reasons are that people are concerned about the smell, or about attracting pests. Did you know that there are ways to minimize both? In recognition of International Compost Awareness Week and as an extension of last year’s popular Food Cycle series, The Delaware Center for Horticulture is pleased to present Deb Martin to discuss innovative composting systems that mitigate some of these issues. Deb Martin is a wordsmith, worm wrangler, farmers market manager, and compost enthusiast. She is co-author with Barbara Pleasant of The Complete Compost Gardening Guide, and has written and edited books and articles about organic gardening and bird feeding.

Special thanks to DNREC for their generous support for this program.
